It's Called a Cruel Irony

... like my dependence on you (The Emperor's New Groove 2000)

Or another quote that works for my situation, "You exist to continue your existence, what's the point?" (Equilibrium 2002)

As I have worked pretty much for the last four hours on homework, I cannot help but wonder and ask myself
"Self, why I am ruining my weekend with something as pointless as this?"
And I answered myself saying "Other self, I was too busy to do it during the week."
Which surprisingly enough was actually true. I work full time.
So this brought to mind the thought, "Self, why am I killing myself working full time if I live at home and have relatively no living expenses?"
Answer "To pay for school."

After going back and forth several times between myself and myself I came to the conclusion that my life is a cruel irony. I work so that I can afford to go to school, but I work so much that I do not succeed at school.

Its awesome, and I can't help but chuckle to myself. *chuckle chortle chuckle*

Life is the greatest!!!

  1. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you are over exhausted if you are chuckling over such a sad statement of life...reading the post would have been completely depressing and worry inducing for me if it hadn't been for the fact that you came to the realization that you are killing yourself. As they say - the first step is recognizing you have a problem. I'm hoping that recognizing that will help you scale back...(crossing my fingers and sqeezing my eyes shut in a wish...) point being we don't want to see you kill yourself over this 'cruel irony'. (We of course being myself and my other self who are also conferring...)

  2. By the way - I only outranked the dog because it wasn't a part of our family. As soon as she got her own dog I was out as the valenswine.

  3. Meh... Schools only eight weeks long in the summer right? Can't be too bad all things considered. Eight weeks long with two weeks down isn't a problem at all. At this rate I'll be done quicker than you can say "Bob's your uncle" (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 1968)
